New Delhi: Migaloo, the majestic white humpback whale made a stunning appearance as he travelled up the east coast of Australia on annual migration to north.

The majestic white humpback has been sighted off the coast of New South Wales state, including the resort town of Byron Bay.

Alison Reid, who booked a whale watching boat trip and was overcome with emotion when he actually showed up, captured the magnificent mammal on camera off Byron Bay on Tuesday, and and watched him frolic with another humpback for about two hours.

“I cried. I screamed 'You gorgeous whale, thank you for being here for us today,” Ms Reid was quoted as saying by the ABC.

She said she had been an avid whale watcher for decades, but this was her first sighting of Migaloo.

Migaloo, which is Australia’s most well-known humpback whale, has delighted large numbers of whale enthusiasts as he migrates up the east coast of Australia from Antarctica to the warmer waters of Tropical North Queensland.
